Most mornings we wake already carrying yesterday. The conversation that went wrong. The thing left unfinished. The mood we fell asleep in. We open our eyes and pick the weight back up before our feet hit the floor.
Some of it needs carrying. Most of it doesn't. We just never put it down — because no one told us we could.
A morning is one of the few genuinely clean things you're given. The day in front of you hasn't happened yet. You get to choose how much of yesterday comes with you into it.
Today: name one thing you're still carrying from yesterday. Ask whether it actually needs carrying. If not, set it down — you can always pick it up again if you must.
Make it daily — today’s jewel, with a practice fitted to your day.
